This collection is a reflection of the memories and belongings of my late grandfather Fazal Hussain Mazhar. The odes in Urdu, written by Fazal himself are fused with the texture of antique papers, old journal covers, ink marks and old photographs of Murree to create textile surfaces for luggage sets. The ensemble reflects a color palette comprising of shades of beige, brown, hints of blue, indigo, rusted copper and olivine to capture the wistful yet fresh feel of recollections. These design ideas are portrayed using the mixed media techniques like screen printing, embroidery, layering, pleating and digital printing. The fabric qualities include polyester, nylon, ballistic and corduroy fabrics that adequately suit the end use.
